Portfolio Art Competition

Don't miss the chance to get your artwork displayed at Turner Contemporary next summer!

Are you an aspiring artist?

Portfolio is Turner Contemporary and Canterbury Christchurch University’s annual art competition and we’re inviting you to enter your artwork.

The competition is open to:

• All pupils/students aged 4 – 18 years in Kent and Medway including reception and foundation year children.
• FE Students
• Professionals working in an educational establishment for 4 – 18 year olds in Kent and Medway
• Current teacher training students studying in Kent and Medway

Portfolio 2017 is especially exciting this year as the competition celebrates its 10th Birthday and winning entries will be exhibited in the main gallery.

This year’s theme, ‘Making a Change’, explores how art has the power to change attitudes, people and places.

It is inspired by the 2017 Summer season exhibitions at Turner Contemporary, which will show the works by British sculptor Phyllida Barlow as well as one of her former students, emerging Kenyan artist Michael Armitage.

The exhibitions will bring together artists and audiences of all ages and cultures to celebrate the vital role of art in society.
