“Marketing Yourself”
A free, two-day workshop for musicians, performers and artists to learn how to market yourself using your mobile phone. The course will include podcasting and understanding the tricks of creative writing to grab attention.

Canterbury Festival is very pleased to be running this free course with Jake Cunningham & Rob Smith
Jake Cunningham is a graduate of the University of Kent, Canterbury, who works for next generation broadcaster Little Dot Studios, working in commissioning for Channel 4’s Random Acts, a short film arts strand that includes around fifty films a year. Along with this, he is an established podcast producer and host; leading a weekly film show for Curzon cinemas, as well as the acclaimed Ghibliotheque – a podcast about Japanese animation giants Studio Ghibli – both of which have topped the Apple Film & TV podcast charts. As a journalist, his writing on film has been published by Sight & Sound, Little White Lies and The Independent. Rob Smith is Marketing Manager for Canterbury Festival and recently worked as Marketing Assistant for Creative Folkestone.
