Want to see your writing featured here, on art31.co.uk?

We’re looking for 13-25 year olds to write arts and culture reviews, opinion pieces and stories.

Articles are no longer being added or maintained

These articles were written and submitted by young people across Kent, between August 2016 and July 2019. We are no longer adding new articles or maintaining old ones. Read more about Art31.

Whether you’ve seen an amazing gig, or have a lot to say about arts education, we want to hear from you! Reviews can be of any arts or cultural experience, such as gigs, theatre, dance, music, comedy etc. Opinion pieces can be about anything, but we’re especially interested in those with a link to arts and culture. We’re also interested in featuring articles that highlight what young people in Kent are achieving and making happen. For example, if you’ve been involved in running an event or creating something, write an article about your experience!

Not only will your work be published online on our articles page, it might also be featured on our social media channels and our e-newsletters, which get sent direct to young people and arts organisations all across Kent each month. Previous ART31 articles have been featured on/shared by Arts Professional and Arts Award, so it’s a great opportunity for new writers to get their work published online and seen!

What should I write about?

ART31 is all about giving you a voice – so if you think something is important and worth writing about, chances are we’ll agree! If you’ve got an idea for an article, but aren’t quite sure if it’s right, get in touch with us here and we’ll get back to you.

What’s the deadline for articles?

There are no deadlines! You can submit anything to art31.co.uk, at any time. Just use the form here.

Will I get paid?

Writing for art31.co.uk is voluntary, but it’s a great chance to get your work published online and to get your voice heard and listened to.

So what are you waiting for? Get writing and submit your articles here!
